  • Functioning as a full fledged ophthalmic surgical centre, currently is a state of the art surgical centre

  • It is being the first and the only centre to provide ophthalmic speciality services in this area
  • The hospital handles the entire range of ophthalmic ailments and performs all types of ophthalmic surgeries
  • 80,000 cataract surgeries have been operated so far
  • 11,500 free cataract surgeries were operated in different eye camps
  • Presently 4 consultants  and 9 para medical and 36 supporting staff are working in the hospital

Organization Achievements

We are the first persons to start the following:

  • 1993 - Endocapsular ECCE (Extra Cap[sular Cataract Extraction) with PC IOL
  • 1994 - Retina Lasers treatment started
  • 1994 - Switched over to SICS from ECCE
  • 1995 - Phaco emulsification (First Centre to start the phaco surgery in the then A.P.State)
  • 2008 - Lasik Surgery introduced
  • 2012 - B.Sc., Optometry course started
  • 2013 – Certified NABH SHCO eye hospital (Only eye hospital in the then A.P.State)
  • 2014 – Wave front custom Lasik Introduced
  • 2014 – Cataract Surgery with phaco emulsification, Alcon Centurion System with Luxor microscope
  • 2014 – Diploma in Ophthalmic assistant

  • Doing out reach programs since 1993 and operated about 11,500 patients for cataract surgeries with Intra Ocular Lens Implantation in different eye camps.
  • 30 villages adopted in 4 clusters of Warangal district to eliminate the avoidable blindness by 2017
  • Planned for vision centre at Mulkanoor of Karimnagar District on 19th October 2014 to cater the needs of the people of 14 villages.
